At the centre of this powerful initiative is people. RBA has identified a number of development minded changemakers in business, academia and the arts to become founding members of the African Influencers for Development Supergroup who were inaugurated into the group by His Excellency President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana during the Presidential Dialogue in Accra on the 7th of November, 2019. This powerful coalition of current and future African influencers are collaborating and exchanging knowledge and skills with UNDP in a wide range of development areas such as infrastructure development and financing, supporting government development agendas, mobilising resources, fostering regional integration and the AfCFTA, and encouraging the connectivity of Africa.

The current 16 members of this expanding group are:
